The wait is almost over. Life is Strange: Double Exposure has got a release date on Nintendo Switch. PC, Xbox, and PlayStation users have already shifted between timelines, but it’s now time for a new player base to jump in.
Acting as a direct sequel to the original Life is Strange (2015,) Double Exposure follows the story of Max Caulfield as she tries to prevent and solve the murder of her friend Safi using her powers. When the community first got its hands on Double Exposure back in October, it received mixed reviews. This was mainly down to the narrative itself and choices feeling meaningless.
A trip down memory lane
Life is Strange: Double Exposure will release digitally on the Nintendo Switch store on November 19, 2024. There will be a physical version of the game for Switch players, but that won’t hit storefronts until January 28, 2025. If you can wait a little longer, you can pre-order a copy of the latest entry in the Life is Strange series and receive a steelbook as a pre-order bonus.
The Nintendo Switch being last in line to get modern games up and running is not out of the ordinary. Due to its outdated hardware, it can take extra time to make newer releases compatible with Nintendo’s system. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is another example of this, making its debut on all platforms in September of this year, with a Switch port not expected until December.
Alongside the announcement of a Nintendo Switch release date for Life is Strange: Double Exposure came a fresh animated trailer to get fans in the mood for an adventure full of mystery.
