After four years of teasers, EA has confirmed that Skate will launch in Early Access in 2025. With Skate 3 hitting storefronts all the way back in 2010, to say that a new title is overdue is an understatement. Before Skate is available to all players, those on console will get an opportunity to join a playtest.
Already, PC players got the chance to perform tricks in the upcoming entry to the decorated Skate franchise. Both Xbox and PlayStation owners will soon be able to see what the revival has to offer.
How to sign up for the Skate console playtest
To take part in the upcoming Skate test, you need to have an EA account. Then, visit the EA Skate Insider playtest website, and hit the “register now” button. Log in with your EA account details, choose the platform you play on, and keep an eye out for an invitation.
The number of participants that’ll gain access to the playtest is unknown, but registering your interest doesn’t guarantee you entry. Additionally, a specific date for when playtest sessions will go live remains unknown, but it’s expected to take place in the fall of 2024.
The insider program is the best way to get an opportunity to play Skate before full release. If you’re lucky enough to get an invite, you will also receive instructions on how to give feedback to the development team.
We’ll update this article when EA announce more details regarding when fans will be able to kickflip into action. For now, keep tabs on your email to see if you get selected!
