“The Natural State” of Arkansas is gearing up for its arrival into American Truck Simulator in just a matter of days.
With the Arkansas DLC, players will be able to experience the rich amount of detail that SCS has put into this latest release. From highlighting the state’s many rugged industrial operations, to picturesque townscapes, there’s a lot on offer for this new map expansion.
Keep your eyes peeled
As to be expected from the sterling work of SCS’ scenery designers, the Arkansas map expansion contains a variety of locales for virtual truckers to explore.
From intercity streets to scenic back roads, the new map features a smorgasbord of well-replicated areas from the real-life state. Large factories and plants, and winding unpaved forest roads are some of the spots that players will be shuttling deliveries between.
The release date trailer highlights some of the meticulously-created scenes that this expansion has in store.
The lay of the land
With a total population of just a little over 3 million, Arkansas isn’t exactly on the larger side. That said, its physical size is nothing to scoff at, as it houses a wide variety of geographical features.
Rivers, lakes, forests, and mountain ranges all run through Arkansas, offering vast acres of natural beauty. On that note, there are a few opportunities for logging deliveries that will take virtual truckers into the thick of some ‘off the beaten path’ action.
The state’s agricultural industry is also extensive, boasting one of the largest in the US. Various types of crops are produced here and shipped out; so expect a lot of farming-related jobs, too.
There’s a lot more to discover in the Arkansas map expansion for American Truck Simulator which will hit storefronts on September 16, 2024.
