The First Descendant is a third-person looter shooter where your task is to fight for the survival of humanity. Whether you play solo or in a squad, play through various missions as a unique roster of characters to protect the Ingris continent. If you’re a fan of boss fights, there are some pretty big ones, too. Although The First Descendent is a free game, it does feature Caliber which is an element that requires purchases.
Like many free-to-play games, The First Descendent has a paid currency and here it is called Caliber. It has various functions, including unlocking characters and kitting them out with fresh cosmetics.
Premium comes at a price
To get Caliber, you must buy one of six Caliber packs in The First Descendant. This can be done through the in-game store or on Steam if you’re a PC player. Here are all the Caliber options, along with their price tags.
- 250 Caliber: $4.99/£3.98
- 520 Caliber: $9.99/£7.99
- 1060 Caliber: $19.99/£15.98
- 2,750 Caliber: $49.99/£39.98
- 3,920 Caliber: $69.99/£57.98
- 5,750 Caliber: $99.99/£79.99
It’s worth noting that in some cases, the delivery of Caliber in The First Descendant has been delayed. To check purchased Caliber, navigate to your inventory, then to the store, and inbox. As the developers work on a fix, they are also preparing some sort of compensation for the issue.
Real-money purchases are the only way in which you can obtain Caliber. It’s possible to earn the currency through the battle pass, but this is also a feature you must buy to earn all the rewards.
