Star Wars Day is something that has been celebrated in Fortnite for many years. It’s hardly surprising that Fortnite will receive another Star Wars crossover as we get closer to the month of May. Players can expect content to return from previous years, while new features will be sprinkled in to keep the collaboration fresh.
As one crossover ends, a new one will begin. Currently, an Avatar mini pass is available to work through, while the Elements have been unleashed on the island for a limited-time.
Star Wars returns to Fortnite in more ways than one
Epic Games shared a short trailer to announce the return of the crossover on X. The video is captioned with “I’ve got a good feeling about this,” a line delivered by Han Solo. For the first time, the Star Wars collaboration will expand on its horizons and go beyond regular battle royale modes. According to the trailer, Star Wars content will feature in LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, but it’s unknown exactly what it will involve.
According to reputable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, there will be at least one new Mythic item known as a Wookie Bowcaster, the debut of a Rebel Leia Organa skin, and potentially a Chewbacca skin. It’s expected that Lightsabers and The Force will return to the island, too.
Although this is the sixth year of the iconic crossover, it may be more fitting than ever. As the power of the Gods return to the island, combining those with Star Wars weapons will make for some deadly loadouts.
For now, Epic Games are keeping tight-lipped on their plans, but all will become clear when the Fortnite Star Wars collaboration begins on May 3, 2024.
