How to feed a Capybara its favourite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley Capybara

Disney Dreamlight Valley is home to a range of critters that can be found across Eternity Isle and beyond. It’s possible to make a critter your companion which is the closest we will get to owning a pet to join you on your travels. If you want to adopt a Capybara to your Disney Dreamlight Valley team, make sure you know its favourite food.

When you give a critter its favourite food, you will progress through Foraging Tasks, one of many was to earn Mist. The more Mist currency you rack up, the greater access you’ll get to new biomes in A Rift in Time.

Before you can feed a Capybara, you must find one in the wild. There are five types of Capybara’s which roam around different biomes:

  • Blue Striped Capybara – The Grove
  • Black and White Capybara – The Promenade
  • Grey Spotted Capybara – The Lagoon
  • Classic Capybara – The Grasslands
  • Red and White Striped Capybara – The Lagoon

No matter what Capybara you find, their favourite food will be cabbage. This vegetable can be purchased from Goofy’s Stalls which are situated around The Grove, The Promenade, The Lagoon, and The Grasslands.

When planting cabbage seeds, note that they take one hour of in-game time to grow and after all that waiting around, only one cabbage will grow per plant. Since you’ll need to feed a Capybara twice a day for three days for it to become your companion, plant that cabbage as soon as possible!

Capybaras don’t mind being approached which is a different reaction compared to other forms of wildlife. Simply walk up to the Capybara, feed it, and it will be more than happy to take the leafy snack off your hands.
