Diablo 4 already boasts an impressive fully-explorable world. The spooky atmosphere is about to get an extra layer of intensity, as NVIDIA has announced that Diablo 4 will get ray-tracing later this month.
Over the years, the Diablo franchise has accumulated a strong player base. However, Diablo 4 has been overshadowed by costly microtransactions and the introduction of seasonal content.
Diablo 4 ray-tracing update will arrive on March 26
Visuals are important to many players, especially when picking up a game for the first time. The better the graphics, the more appealing the game will be from the get-go, especially in open-world titles like Diablo.
NVIDIA’s ray-tracing technology is already compatible with hundreds of games, treating PC players to the best possible on-screen performance. According to NVIDIA themselves, “Diablo IV content will look even better thanks to the addition of 2 ray-traced effects.”
With ray-tracing enabled, “armour, water, windows, and other suitably reflective surfaces will now feature accurate, realistic ray-traced reflections and ray-traced transparent reflections, making battles in Sanctuary even more spectacular.”
Each and every scene is about to get even more hellish as “the many shadows of Diablo IV will be enhanced with ray tracing,” enabling for extra detail.
Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Diablo 4 was announced as the first IP to be added to Game Pass on March 28, just two days after the ray-tracing update.
If you’re yet to forge your path through Sanctuary, the final days of March are the perfect time to schedule a new adventure.
