Being a border guard inspector means that you have to check vehicle’s cargo before it is allowed into the country. Since the game is set in a communist country in the 1980’s, smuggling and corruption happens all too often. When you’ve done your duty of counting and inspecting cargo in Contraband Police, you have to return it.
As you play, you will come into contact with all kinds of cargo. This includes barrels, cheese crates, and even live animals, just to name a few. Although there may be nothing suspicious on the surface, you must use your UV flashlight to detect any contraband that may be hidden inside. If you let contraband through, you will be penalised, so it’s important to make sure the cargo is in ship-shape.
How to return cargo after inspection in Contraband Police
Once you’ve completed your checks on the cargo, you’re either going to make an arrest or let the driver complete their journey. Either way, the cargo must be put back in its place before you move on to the next vehicle.
Cargo can be returned by speaking to your colleague, Constable Maximov. He is sat near the cargo area smoking a cigarette. Since he’s the only other officer in the area, he shouldn’t be too difficult to spot. By interacting with him, you’ll be given the option to ask him to clear the area. As if by magic, all the items will then be tidied away and you’ll be able to carry on your work.
