Palworld has gone into early access on PC and Xbox Game Pass. With over 100 Pals to capture, Palworld is being dubbed as Pokemon with guns. When you catch a Pal, you may want to give your new friend a name before setting it to work or getting it to defeat other Pals. This guide will show you how to change the name of your Pals in Palworld to whatever you choose.
Pals are mysterious creatures that you can catch to accompany you across the open world. When you add a Pal to your deck, it’s default name will show up unless you change it.
How to change the name of your Pals in Palworld
When you finish your character customisation, you’ll be assigned a random name that can’t yet be changed. Since this is an early access build, it’s likely that this is one of the many features that’ll arrive later down the line.
It is possible to change the name of your Pals, though to give them their own unique identity. To do so, open up the Party Menu and locate the Pal that you want to rename. Next to its default name, you will see an “edit” button which you can click and type in your Pal’s new nickname.
It’s worth noting that this option doesn’t appear straight away, but that may be down to a bug or it could be that you need to level up more before unlocking this feature.
