The World Series of Warzone 2023 Global Final first in-person event took place at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Team Biffle won the tournament in dominant fashion. They finished with 2 map wins and 125 kills across 6 maps, 36 more than the next highest team.
How can you get into competitive Warzone?
During a press conference that took place after the World Series of Warzone Global Final concluded, we asked Team Biffle:
“What advice would you give to those who might’ve been watching you today who want to break into the competitive Warzone scene?”
The response the trio gave was to play in the “little tourneys” that often appear on X (formerly Twitter.) Also, they advised players to go for the number 1 spot on the Warzone Ranked Play top 250 leaderboard. Here, Biffle used the example of Hisoka, who climbed to number 1 on the leaderboard which helped get his name out there and gain more viewers on his live streams.
In addition, Shifty answered our question by reflecting on his rise to competitive Warzone. He recognised that he talked a lot of smack on his come up, saying he thought he “didn’t need the pros,” as an example. Shifty and the rest of his squad had to fight hackusations and Shifty himself was blacklisted for some time.
He kept a similar attitude, questioning the pros that doubted him, “you wanted me on LAN, where are you now?” Shifty also pointed out that you don’t have to adopt the same attitude he did to break into the competitive scene, you can be yourself and stay humble.
Regardless of the path you go down, each member of Team Biffle repeated to keep grinding!
