Hello and welcome to our World Series of Warzone (WSOW) 2023 live feed from the Copper Box Arena in London!
This is the first time 150 of the best players have taken to the stage to play the WSOW on LAN, so the competition is at an all-time high. First, we will see 50 trios battle it out for a share of a $500,00 prize pool. Directly after the trios tournament will be the Solo YOLO drop, with one player walking away with a huge $10,000.
The last time a Call of Duty event took place in the UK was back in 2020 when the London Royal Ravens were the first franchise team to host a tournament in the new Call of Duty League (excluding the CDL Launch Weekend in Minnesota.) It’s fantastic that Activision has chosen to make the journey across the pond to host the first WSOW in London, too.
Many consider the London crowd to be the best crowd in Call of Duty esports history (and I’m not just saying that because I’m from the UK.) The London crowd are known for getting loud and bringing the energy to the venue. If you don’t believe me, take a look for yourself.
World Series of Warzone Global Finals live feed
The Call of Duty stream will begin on Twitch and YouTube at 2:30pm BST. Make sure you’ve linked your accounts to earn drops and be in with the chance of getting your hands on a Modern Warfare 3 beta code.
Throughout the tournament, we’ll be breaking down all the action, bringing you the latest updates, and talking about anything and everything related to competitive Warzone!
Here we go! The pre-show is now live and here’s your broadcast talent lineup:
20:03 That’s it, folks! The first in-person WSOW has come to an end. Thank you to everyone who tuned into the live feed and any of our content.
19:54 – Skullface has the high ground. He jumps down to take a 1v1 vs Bbreadman and he wins it! Skullface is your Solo YOLO winner. He even predicted himself to win the map.
19:53 – There are 10 players left. Vehicles galore.
19:50 – The kill feed has been relatively quiet, but a lot of names just suddenly appeared. Included, is Rated, pickNICK, elolam, Rxul, and many more.
19:48 – The crowd aren’t happy with players who are using a riot shield, they want to see kills. It’s understandable, but with $100,000 on the line, you can’t tell me you wouldn’t use a riot shield, too.
19:44 – Sage gets put against his trios team mate in the gulag and he lets his team mate get he kill which was met with boos from the crowd.
19:43 – Mayappo fries WSOW winner, Biffle, shoots his body, and picks up a valuable gas mask along the way.
19:40 – Sage has 4 kills, pretty impressive considering nobody in the lobby wants to move.
19:36 – Last year’s NA Solo YOLO winner, Fifakill, is out.
19:33 – The Solo YOLO has begun! One player died less than a minute in, but I’m not sure who.
19:17 – As players are joining the lobby, screens have been put in between every player, so nobody can look over at their teammate’s screen.
19:14 – According to the desk, half of the lobby were using a riot shield during Solo YOLO test runs
19:08 – The wheel is back and it’s Jackal and Roocket that come out. If the wheel ends up being correct, I’ll be shocked, even if it’s had multiple spins. The Solo YOLO is the most unpredictable drop in competitive Warzone.
19:02 – The WSOW Solo YOLO is coming up next. If previous Solo YOLO’s are anything to go by, we can expect a lot of vehicles, riot shields, and ratty plays.
18:49 – Team Biffle win the final map and the event. They get $100,000 and not one, but two trophies.
18:47 – Four teams are now battling it out for the final map victory.
18:44- Almond is shooting bodies.
18:42- A lot of squads are outside of Hydroelectric. It’s about to get hectic and the gulag just closed.
18:41 – Tommey on a rooftop looking down at multiple squads. He decided to jump down and push, but 2 of his team mates were sent to the gulag, forcing Tommey to retreat pretty quickly.
18:39 – SuperEvan killed a player trying to rotate in a vehicle. A difficult fight, but he gets it done to secure an extra point.
18:33 – The second circle is closing and players are securing building control within the new zone. Expect a lot of fights to go down at every single angle from those trying to fight their way inside an occupied building.
18:26 – We are loading into the 6th and final map. We will see someone lift the trophy at the end of this game. Only those in the top 25 will get a share of the prize pool.
18:14 – In the post-game interview, Jukeyz himself said it’s about time and I couldn’t agree more (no EU bias, of course…) Jukeyz having a self-revive really saved them and allowed them. It was truly the game changer that allowed them to win the map.
18:12 – Team Jukeyz win the map. They know they needed that one to stay in the competition. It came down to a 2v2 with team Roock.
18:10 – Once again, team Biffle are in the final moments of map 4. Players are dropping left, right, and centre. Team Rocket are the only squad with all 3 players left alive.
17:59 – I feel like a broken record, but team Biffle are just taking gunfight after gunfight. They must be full of confidence, considering where they are in the standings and how well they’re playing.
17:52 – Map 5 well underway. Team Almond secured a helicopter early. A Royal Airforce winner we mentioned before told LouiCM to stop landing on Team Biffle. Well, both teams are currently sharing a building.
17:44 – Another quick break. It’s worth noting that out of 50 teams, only 10 have chosen to play on keyboard and mouse. Does that mean controller is better and easier to use? Tweet me and tell me how wrong I am @GameScoutGG.
17:35 – Team DBZ just clutched up in the final moments of map 4. They were heavily contested early on in the map. The players had a lot of lethal equipment to use in the end game and they pushed every fight together.
17:34- Team Biffle AGAIN in the top 5 this map.
17:33 – We have a bush camper and he goes by the name of Buleive. He managed to get a kill from that position.
17:28 – Team Hisoka are fighting in the water now. It looks like they’ve chosen to retreat and swim completely around the area.
17:26 – Team Biffle are sent to the gulag, but they’ve managed to win their 1v1s. This team can’t be stopped right now.
17:25 – Number one squad, team Biffle have encountered a squad in a building and are looking for an opening.
17:24 – The circle looks like it will end towards the marshlands.
17:22 – More rooftop battles which means precision air strikes are out and the snakes are in.
17:20 – There was a chance for team Jukeyz to go big, but they got team wiped to the gulag. It’s so difficult to go to the gulag early and get back in the match.
17:11 – And just like that, we are starting map 4.
17:10 – The Call of Duty Bowl winners are currently being interviewed. This event brings together UK and US army veterans.
17: 07 – The deal just span a wheel to guess who’ll win the Solo YOLO and DJMas came out on the first spin, Biffle was the result of the second spin, and Desmond third. Anyone could win, so the wheel was probably the best way to make any sort of prediction.
16:57 – 3 maps down and 3 NA winners. Only 3 EU teams are top 10 in the overall standings. It pains me to say, but NA are on top.
16:52 – We are going to another break. After 3 maps, Shifty is at the top of the elimination leaderboard with 23 kills. To view the overall standings, remember to check out our live leaderboard on our website.
16:42 – Team Brax came out on top. They went huge at the end and won key gunfights against the remaining players. Team Almond went down, leaving Tommey alone in the sky, forced to land with just a pistol in hand. Ultimately, Team Brax had the best rotation when it mattered the most.
16:39 – Team Almond are winning key battles and are looking to make it into the top 10.
16:37 – Team Biffle, again. I can’t talk about them enough. Everything is going their way and they already have a player in double digit eliminations with 26 teams left. Team Hisoka, the squad in second place are already out of the map and they didn’t have a strong game.
16:32 – We have a live listen in now with Team Rated. The comms are flowing and are calm. I wouldn’t expect anything less from those veteran Call of Duty players.
16:22 Wildcard squad, team Crowder are pushing a difficult fight across rooftops. Nobody will want to over-extend, so it could be a lengthy battle.
16:20 – Map 3 has begun, we are officially half way through the tournament. Team Mutex are down early on.
16:14 – We are going to a quick break. While we have some downtime, it’s worth mentioning the atmosphere in the arena. The crowd are LOUD and everyone is having a good time. Every time an EU player’s POV comes on screen, the crowd goes crazy. I can only imagine what it’ll be like if an EU team wins a map. NA has taken the first 2 maps, so surely EU are due one next… right?
16:08 – After that win, I believe Team Biffle will take the top spot on the overall standings. If you want to keep up with the scores, check out our live leaderboard on our website!
16:05 – Team Biffle get it done! Biffle was shooting players out of the sky. That Signal 50 is nuts, especially with the thermal sight. I mean, with $600,000 on the line, who wouldn’t use the most broken gun in the game.
16:02 – Team Biffle has been slaying out. They should be able to secure a few more kills in the end game. This multiplier for them could be huge.
16:00 – We are in the end game with 30 squads left. It’s about to be chaos.
15:44 – Unless my eyes are deceiving me, a member of team Jukeyz has landed alone at the airport. An interesting choice.
15:43 – Map number 2 is underway and team Destroy come out on top in the first battle.
15:40 – In map 1, 40% of eliminations came from the Lachmann Sub and 20% came from the Signal 50.
15:23 – Team Hisokat take the first map! Skullface had a golden gas mask and was able to take his time with the Signal 50 to pick off and filter out the remaining players below him.
15:21 – We are in the end game. It’s difficult to see due to the sheer amount of smokes. Team Skullface with the high ground and the zone. It’s looking good for them.
15:16 – And I was right. NA fan favourites, team Swagg have been taken down. There aren’t many teams left now. Point multipliers are kicking in.
15:15 – We’re in the fourth circle now. I’m expecting a lot of players to drop any moment now.
15:09 – We have an interview with Freaky, the first team eliminated. It doesn’t sound like the early exit phased them, but being handed a wooden spoon for their woes might’ve changed that.
15:05 – A lot of teams are rotating into the next zone now and many teams are getting caught on their way in.
15:03 – We’ve already seen the Signal 50 being used. It’s a pretty controversial one as many players were calling for it to be banned ahead of the event due to how powerful it is.
15:01 – The first team has already dropped. I believe it was team ZLaner who are the first to head to the gulag.
15:00 – Drop number 1 is about to begin. Every player is in the plane and are no doubt discussing their drop and the early game.
14:55 – We are going to a quick break. The first map is due to start in 5 minutes.
14:46 – Team Jukeyz are getting huge cheers. It’s no surprise since they’re representing the EU region and for me, they’re the favourites to win the tournament.
14:44 – We are writing up this live feed from the crowd. Let’s see how this goes…
14:33 – The walkouts have begun! With 50 teams competing in the tournament, this may take a while.
