It’s almost the weekend which means the PAYDAY 3 open beta is getting ready to go live. The focus of the upcoming beta from the developer’s point of view is to test the server structure, not gameplay features. However, there’s still plenty of fun to be had.
When you load up the PAYDAY 3 open beta, you can expect to see 1 heist and have 4 heisters to choose from. You’ll be able to try out a range of weapons, but the level cap has been set to just level 22. Whether you’re playing the beta on Xbox or PC, your progression won’t carry over to the full game.
How to participate in the PAYDAY 3 open beta on Xbox and PC
- To play on PC, go to the PAYDAY 3 store page on Steam and click “Request Access.” The game will then appear in your library.
- To play on Xbox, download the Xbox Insider app, navigate to the previews and choose PAYDAY 3.
The beta will begin for all users on September 8 at 3pm BST/ 10am ET and conclude on September 11 at 9am BST/ 4am ET. During this time, players are encouraged to queue up at the same time for a Server Slam. There are two Server Slam’s scheduled, one taking place on September 9 at 12am BST/ 7pm ET and another on September 10 at 5pm BST/ 12pm ET.
Starbreeze Studios say “We need to break the servers! We tested them last BETA, this time we want to break them. Please help by logging in and trying to play the game at the time listed.”
It isn’t often that a developer asks you to destroy their game, but it’ll make for a smoother PAYDAY 3 experience when the game fully launches on September 21.
