The awesome engineers of the Forza Horizon community are about to get to play with a whole new bucket of building blocks when the new and improved EventLab 2.0 drops in an upcoming Forza Horizon 5 update.
These new tools will allow builders to have greater flexibility when making their custom tracks/arenas. A wealth of new tools enhance both speed and efficiency, in addition to providing new depths of what’s possible in the engine.
Road under construction
Multi-Select is one of the new tools coming to EventLab 2.0. This will see the player to select, move, and/or duplicate a group of object blocks all at once. The selected blocks can also be saved together as a Prefab and then shared to the Creative Hub for other players to access.
Custom Flyers is another new tool, allowing players to take a snap of their track creation as the cover image before they share it. Various new props will also be included in the update, such as gas station pieces, various large shapes, and more. Several props will have new fixed snapping points which will make them easier to join together. Props can now be favourited/liked, so the player can quickly access a menu of often-used props.
The Event Browser has new options for displaying up to 15 events and there are numerous fresh event settings that can be adjusted by the creator before publishing.
The pièce de ré·sis·tance of the entire EventLab 2.0 update is the new EventLab Island map, offering a blank 2km x 2km canvas for players to really flex their creative muscles. With all this space, some interesting maps are sure to come out of it.
EventLab 2.0 will go live in Forza Horizon 5 on September 12 as a free update to the game.
