You might’ve already heard that Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is supposedly getting a remake, but that’s not all. Ubisoft has a total of 11 Assassin’s Creed games planned.
The leaked games show Assassin’s Creed could be about to dive into new territory. There appears to be plans for a VR game, as well as multiplayer experiences and something for mobile players.
All planned Assassin’s Creed games
According to a report by Insider Gaming, here are all the Assassin’s Creed games that are allegedly in development:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage [Single-player] (production) – October 12, 2023
- Assassin’s Creed Nexus [VR] (production) – 2023
- Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade [Mobile] (production) – Expected 2023
- Assassin’s Creed Codename Red [Single-player] (production) – Sources Suggest 2024
- Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe [Single-player] (pre-production) – Expected 2025/2026
- Assassin’s Creed Codename Invictus [Multiplayer] (pre-production) – Expected 2025/2026
- Assassin’s Creed Codename Nebula [Single-player] (concept/prototype) – Unknown
- Assassin’s Creed Codename Raid [Multiplayer] (concept/prototype) – Unknown
- Assassin’s Creed Codename Echoes [Multiplayer] (concept/prototype) – Unknown
- Assassin’s Creed Nexus 2 [VR] (being discussed internally) – Unknown
- Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake [Single-player] (greenlit) – Unknown
In addition, Insider Gaming reveal that Ubisoft Sofia has pitched Project Nebula, an Assassin’s Creed title that is expected to be set in India, the Aztec Empire and the Mediterranean. Ubisoft Chengdu has pitched a free-to-play 4-player PvE co-op game containing characters from the Assassin’s Creed universe. Similarly, Ubisoft Annecy are believed to be working on a multiplayer experience, using Ubisoft Scalar technology.
With 11 Assassin’s Creed games potentially in the works, it appears that the franchise won’t be slowing down any time soon. However, until Ubisoft make any official announcements, there’s no way to truly know what the development teams have up their sleeves.
