Starfield is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios and it is arguably one of the most highly anticipated games of 2023. It’s no secret that Starfield is going to be huge, so its worth checking if your PC can hit the system requirements needed to run the game when the September 6 release date arrives.
Below, you’ll find the minimum and recommended specs you’ll need to meet in order to run Starfield.
Starfield minimum requirements
- OS: Windows 10 version 22H2 (10.0.19045)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 125 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD Required
Starfield recommended requirements
- OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Intel i5-10600K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 125 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD Required
The biggest features that stand out here are the hefty 125 GB storage space and the required SSD. You’ll want to make sure you’ve cleared enough space to avoid any problems, especially if you’re planning on downloading some mods later down the line.
To hit the recommended specs, the graphics and CPU have taken a small step up from the minimum requirements. However, they’re still reasonably low, considering the fact that the components are a few years old.
