Summer is on the horizon—literally, as the Series 23 – Summer Party update for Forza Horizon 5 is starting to roll out on PCs and Xbox consoles. The 10GB update features various new Festival Reward Cars, a new Horizon Story, fresh props for the EventLab, and various changes to the game’s world in lieu of the Summer Party theme. Various fixes have also been implemented.
Though the update is already available for download, the changes won’t go live until July 20 when the in-game season transitions.
Heating up the asphalt in Horizon Mexico
With the release of the Summer Party update, players will get to enjoy an all new Horizon Story, dubbed “Icons of Speed.” It features eight chapters, and awards ten exclusive Accolades. With this new content, players will rush around the game’s virtual rendition of Mexico completing various objectives.
Of course, no Forza Horizon 5 update would be complete without new rides to collect and enjoy.
Throughout the course of the next few weeks, five new reward cars will be available by the means of the Festival Playlist: the 1970 Hot Wheels Pontiac Firebird Trans AM Custom, 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM SD-455, 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT, 2018 DeBerti Ford Mustang GT, and finally, the 2022 Toyota GR86.
As a reward for completing the aforementioned Icons of Speed Horizon Story, players will get the 2019 Hennessy Camaro Exorcist—a special rendition of the Camaro with a 1000 HP upgrade.
While rolling around the world post-update, players may also notice that the nights carry on longer than usual. This is unlike a typical summer, as this is a time for longer days, not nights.
That said, following player feedback, Playground Games has added a permanent extension to the duration of night time in-game with this update. Other changes include a Summer Party happening in the Stadium, various themed-decorations during Street Scene races, themed billboards and a new Ice Cream collectible.
These are the biggest changes with the Series 23 – Summer Party update for Forza Horizon 5. Other miscellaneous changes include a variety of bugs that’ve been squashed across the PC and Xbox versions of the game. The full changelog can be viewed on the official Forza Support site.
