During the June 2023 Ubisoft Forward presentation, a release date was finally unveiled for The Crew Motorfest—the next entry in Ubisoft’s open-world racing franchise, The Crew. The Crew Motorfest is scheduled to launch on September 14.
Featuring hundreds of rides from the likes of manufacturers such as Lamborghini, Ford, Toyota and more, players will explore the tropical Hawaiian island of O’ahu, tearing up its sandy shores, screeching down its volcanic paths and leaping through its lush jungles.
No room for brakes
The Crew Motorfest celebrates car culture by inviting players to engage in a variety of events that will allow them to pilot different vehicles all over the island.
Speed through the streets of a neon-coloured city track, inspired by Japan and conquer the rough terrain of the jungle in a 4×4 vehicle like a Ford Bronco. The wide variety of race types seeks to keep players engaged throughout their driving adventure.
Returning to Motorfest are planes and boats from The Crew 2, allowing players to traverse the skies and the seas surrounding O’ahu, in addition to the land.
Also returning from The Crew 2 are the garages of each player who owns both titles. Before you start your adventure in Motorfest, you’ll be able to import your vehicles from the previous title for free. This not only allows you to keep enjoying your favourite rides as they were, but it’ll also give you a headstart by allowing you to save your credits for some fresh new wheels as you make your way up the ranks. Keep playing The Crew 2 until this launches, however, as there are new events leading up to Motorfest’s release.
The Crew Motorfest will launch in three editions: Standard ($69.99 USD,) Gold ($99.99,) and Ultimate ($119.99.) The latter two editions will both offer early access to the game, ahead of its full release, thus allowing you to play on September 11.
The other bonuses include the Year 1 Pass for the Gold Edition and the Ultimate Edition features the Ultimate Pack. The Year 1 Pass is a bundle that will include all the DLC content set to release in the first year for one price, spanning 25 cars. Three of these cars will be available at launch, two exclusives and two additional vehicles will release every month. The Ultimate Pack sports various customization options for your avatar and specific vehicles.
In addition to buying the game on its own, customers also have the option of subscribing to Ubisoft+ to enjoy Motorfest and other Ubisoft titles for a monthly cost of $14.99. There’s also a 7-day free trial that will allow you to try The Crew Motorfest before you drop the money on it. You can also give it a go by playing the closed beta which will be available on July 21-23.
The Crew Motorfest will launch on PC (Ubisoft Connect), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Pre-orders are now live.
For more next-gen racing action, Forza Motorsport is launching one month later on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
