How to fix Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s HDR issue on PS5 and Xbox
Youtuber, GamingTech has shared a workaround for console players who have been hit with HDR problems. These are only temporary solutions, but they should help you get by until Respawn hopefully rolls out a patch in the not too distant future.
PS5 HDR fix
- Go to the HDR settings on your PlayStation console and increase every value on all three pages to the maximum. When the setting is at its maximum limit, the button labelled “Brighter” will be greyed out.
- Load up the game and open the options menu in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
- Under the “Visuals” menu, locate the HDR setting and adjust the HDR brightness to 20 and the HDR Black Point to 5.
Xbox HDR fix
In a separate video, GamingTech provides a workaround for Xbox Series X/S consoles:
- Open your Xbox HDR settings and don’t make any changes on the “HDR Game Calibration” page, just select “Next.”
- Click “Next” on the “Minimum Luminance” screen.
- You’ll then be taken to the “Maximum Luminance” screen and from here, set the brightness to the maximum level.
- Launch Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and open the options menu.
- Navigate to the “Visuals” menu, find the HDR setting and keep the brightness at the default level, but alter the HDR Black Point to 25.
Now you know how to temporarily fix the broken Star Wars Jedi: Survivor HDR issue on PS5 and Xbox, you should see an improvement next time you play.
