Previous leaks pointed towards Modern Warfare 2 getting a 2 year lifecycle. Activision then shut this down, explaining that there will be a ‘full annual premium release.’ Now, a new report suggests that the Call of Duty 2023 reveal date is in just a few months time.
Details have been scarce about what Call of Duty 2023 could entail. Its thought to be a continuation of Modern Warfare 2 and in development by Sledgehammer Games, but this isn’t certain.
Has the Call of Duty 2023 reveal date been leaked?
According to Insider Gaming, their sources have allegedly reported that Call of Duty 2023 will be revealed at the beginning of August. The exact date is supposedly August 1 and its understood that the upcoming title will be revealed through an in-game event. Both Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard were unveiled in Warzone, so Call of Duty 2023 could follow suit.
Working with their sources, Insider Gaming also released potential dates for multiple beta weekends and the full release:
- Beta weekend 1 (PS4/PS5 only) October 6, 2023 – October 10, 2023
- Beta weekend 2 (All platforms: PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) October 12, 2023 – October 16, 2023
- Campaign Early Access ( All platforms: PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) November 2, 2023
- Full Release: November 10, 2023
That’s not all, as Insider Gaming believes that Call of Duty 2023 will have a zombies. However, fans of the mode may be disappointed to hear that it isn’t expected to be round-based zombies, but something entirely different.
Keep in mind that the Call of Duty 2023 reveal date isn’t confirmed and could change. We’ll have to keep an eye out for an official announcement from Activision in the coming months.
