Sons of the Forest is the sequel to The Forest from 2018 and it has quickly become one of the most popular survival games. Right now, PC players are the only ones lucky enough to dive into the world of Sons of the Forest which is currently in early access. If you’re wondering when you’ll get to play Sons of the Forest on PlayStation and Xbox, here are all the details we know so far.
Following suit from the last game, you’re once again the victim of a plane crash. This time, you’re accompanied by an NPC named Kelvin, that’s if you decide to keep him alive. Naturally, being stranded on an island means you have to gather resources, craft a base, and try not to get taken out by mutated cannibals.
When will Sons of the Forest launch on PlayStation and Xbox?
At the time of writing, a release date hasn’t been announced for Sons of the Forest on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch. However, a console release hasn’t been ruled out just yet. In a developer interview conducted by Gaming Bolt, Endnight said “we would love to come to console in the future, but are currently focused on delivering the best experience possible to PC players.”
When the original The Forest first launched, it was a PC exclusive and PlayStation users had to wait approximately 8 months after release for their turn, while the title never came to Xbox. We’ll keep you updated with any official announcements about when Sons of the Forest could release on PlayStation and Xbox.
