Redfall is set to have a roster of characters for you to choose from and experiment with. Each character has their own set of abilities, providing you with a fresh experience every playthrough. To help you make the best choice depending on your playstyle, here are all the Redfall playable characters and their abilities.
Your character’s abilities dictate how you’ll play, so its best to pick the hero that best suits your playstyle. Each character wields three abilities, with one of them being a potentially game changing ultimate ability.
All characters and their abilities in Redfall
There are a total of four playable characters in Redfall:
- Devinder Crousley
- Jacob Boyer
- Layla Ellison
- Remi De La Rosa
Every character is equipped with their own set of unique abilities to help you take down those vampires. As you play, you’ll be able to master their skills, while learning about each character’s backstory.
Devinder
Devinder is an inventor who uses his inventions to combat the Vampires in Redfall. His gadgets will help you deal a serious amount of damage to multiple enemies at once and reposition if needed.
- Arc Javelin: Using the Arc Javelin will see you throw a javelin that attaches to surfaces and releases a chain lightning effect, hitting any enemy unlucky enough to be in range
- Translocate: A device that allows you to teleport to its location once it has been thrown down
- Blacklight: This ultimate ability is a UV blacklight that’s used to stun enemies
Jacob
Specialising in scouting and sniping, Jacob is the perfect choice if you enjoy staying out of the line of fire and prefer dealing damage from a distance.
- Cloak: Summons a spectral raven that’s a useful scouting tool for marking nearby vampires
- Raven: Activates a cloaking advice that allows you to move undetected
- Heartstopper: Jacob’s ultimate ability places a ghostly sniper rifle in your hands that locks on to your opponents and enables you to chain headshot kills.
Layla
Layla gained her abilities as a result of a medical trial gone wrong. With this character, you’ll be able to get the high ground over the swarms of enemies, while protecting yourself and your squad from incoming projectiles.
- Lift: Summons a lift to climb up to areas that would usually be difficult to reach
- Umbrella: Create a purple shield that protects you from being hit. The hard-hitting forcefield can also be sent towards hostiles.
- Vampire Ex-Boyfriend: Perhaps the most hilarious skill in Redfall, Layla’s ultimate ability will see her ex join the battlefield for a limited-time and help you out in combat.
Remi
A robotics expert and engineer, Remi’s abilities will take you to the frontline. Her explosives and robotic companion are a real threat to the undead.
- C4 Charge: Throw a C4 that sticks to surfaces and explodes
- Mobilise: Sets up a healing point that heals and revives anyone in range
- Siren: Let your robot companion loose with Remi’s ultimate ability. It works to distract enemies, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
