Silent Hill 2 originally launched in 2001 and over 20 years later, we are getting a remake. To say fans of the franchise have been waiting patiently is an understatement, especially since rumours of a remake have been circulating since 2019. Now, the number of achievements that will be in the Silent Hill 2 Remake has seemingly surfaced on Steam.
The story of Silent Hill 2 follows James Sunderland, a widower who returns to Silent Hill when he receives a letter from his deceased wife, who claims to be waiting there for him. On your journey, you fight various enemies, solve puzzles, and experience various twists and turns. The remake is set to follow the exact same plot, but it’ll still feel fresh to veteran players due to various updates and drastic improvements to the graphics.
The latest Silent Hill 2 Remake leak
Reddit user, u/ToonsterGames, discovered the number of achievements in the Silent Hill 2 Remake when they were browsing a Bloober developer’s Steam profile. As you scroll down the dev’s “all games” tab, you’ll see the Silent Hill 2 Remake which is labelled as having 12 achievements.
Unfortunately, there are no details on what the achievements entail, so there are no further clues about the game. The original entry had a whopping 66 achievements, so the remake will definitely be less of a grind for completionists.
It’s unknown if this information has been there a while and has only just been discovered, or if it’s new. Regardless, fans are hoping that this is a sign that an announcement is coming soon. This would be fitting leading up to Halloween, right?
