Black Myth: Wukong patch notes highlights

After completing the entire game, you can find a Challenge option at any Keeper’s Shrine. There are two types of challenges available, Return of Rivals and Gauntlet of Legends.

Return of Rivals allows you to take on a former opponent in a duel, choosing from three levels of difficulty. If any opponents remain undefeated in the main game, the corresponding re-battle will be unavailable.

As for the Gauntlet of Legends, this will see you battle multiple opponents in succession, using customised curses and new enemy moves to keep you on your toes. Following suit of Return of Rivals, if any opponents remain undefeated in the main game, the related gauntlet will be unavailable.

Those strong enough to come out on top of the Gauntlet of Legends will be rewarded with the following rare treasures:

  • Medicine: “Glimmering Scale Pellets” and its formula
  • Drink and Soaks: “Sour Wine”, “Frost-Enduring Chrysanth”, and “Robust Antler”
  • Curios: “Stone Tiger Tally”, “Ever-Burning Palace Lantern”, and “Fragment of the Ocean-Settling Pillar”
  • Equipment: “Three Hill Crown”
  • Weapons: “Qing Mallet”, “Fanged Cyan Staff”, and “Leeching Centipede Staff”

Another new gameplay feature making its debut with the update is the Journeyer’s Chart. This can be unlocked by entering Black Wind Mountain and meeting the Keeper. For each new territory reached, a Journeyer’s Chart can be purchased at the Keeper’s Shrine, essentially acting as an in-game map.
