Phasmophobia has launched its highly anticipated Cursed Hollow update today, marking the game’s first community event of the year.
The main change going into the Cursed Hollow event is rewards being divided into Community and Personal. Community goals are met by working together, while Personal goals will be unique to the player. There are also map rotations and gameplay modifiers to keep the event fresh.

New
- Cursed Hollow: Phasmophobia’s first community event of 2025 brings with it a host of changes based on community feedback from previous events.
- Default event weather: The default weather for all Cursed Hollow maps will be heavy rain. However, there will still be a chance for a Blood Moon to occur during your game.
Changes
- Implemented right stick deadzone support for all gamepads.
Fixes
- Added extra collision to some Maple Lodge Campsite picnic benches, to avoid VR players getting stuck.
- Removed a safe spot behind the Bleasdale bedroom mirror.
- Fixed several issues related to ghost line of sight introduced with the Bleasdale Farmhouse update.
- Fixed an issue that would cause a blank unlock pop-up to display when reaching silver Apocolypse and level 80.
- Fixed an issue that would prevent VR players from interacting with anything after being revived.
- Fixed an issue that would prevent the alternate ports option from toggling on/off.
- Fixed an issue that would cause bones to spawn in unreachable spots on beds.
- Fixed an issue that would allows ghosts to stand on the coffee table in 10 Ridgeview Court.
- Fixed an issue that caused 4 Crucifixes to spawn in the ‘Speedrun!’ Weekly Challenge, instead of the expected 2.
- Fixed an issue that would allow ghosts to close doors during hunts.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the outside temperature to remain the same after using the weather change wish.
- Fixed an issue that would cause a persistent muffled sound when leaving a map with an active parabolic microphone.
- Fixed an issue that could cause several cabinet doors to be pulled away from their hinges.

- Players may encounter lighting issues across various maps during the event period.
