Dinkum leaving Early Access with new content and multiplayer updates

dinkum version 1.0 coming in april

After almost three years in Early Access, countless updates, and DLC content, Dinkum version 1.0 will release later this month.

The date is set, Dinkum will officially launch on April 23, 2025 at 2am UTC. The team behind the game has shared some content updates and a handful of changes related to game services that will be live in time for the full game to make its debut.

What changes are coming with Dinkum 1.0?

When the game launches, highly requested features and new content will join the island.  When it comes to multiplayer, hosts will have more control of what their guests can do on their island, and guest players have access to features that were once available to hosts only.

A rental system will arrive specifically for guest houses. Four new villagers will join Dinkum and you will meet them by renting out the guest houses. Fresh recipes will also be ready and waiting to be discovered, with a two-seater airplane revealed to be one of them.

Those who wish to make Dinkum truly their own will want to get acquainted with a Creative Mode that will be playable in version 1.0, granting more freedom.

As is the case with many games leaving Early Access, Dinkum will receive a price increase when the full version releases. Some regions may be hit with more noticeable price changes than others in an attempt to prevent inconsistencies in regional pricing. Dinkum currently has 20% slashed off its price tag until the promotion expires on April 10, 2025.

Dinkum version 1.0 marks the beginning of a new chapter for the game. Expect even more updates to hit the Australian outback in the future.
