killing floor 3 delayed 2025

Tripwire Interactive has been hard at work developing Killing Floor 3, but after a disappointing beta, the game has been delayed.

Originally slated for a March 25, 2025 release date, Killing Floor 3 will bring more blood and guts to the action horror series. The third instalment to the franchise is expected to propel the game forward, while maintaining the core experience fans have grown to know and love.

Save the gore for another day

In a statement released on X, the developers say that after sifting through closed beta feedback, “we realized we missed the mark.” As a result, the decision has been made to delay Killing Floor 3 to later this year while the team work on common issues that cropped up in the beta test. This includes improving overall performance, the UI, lighting and the way in which weapons feel.

However, the amount of changes that will be integrated at launch is still up in the air. The only guarantee is that players will be able to independently select perks and characters in an update that is planned for after the game releases.

With the confirmation of the delay, pre-orders placed on PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store will be automatically cancelled. Steam pre-orders will remain unless you manually cancel and refund the game

Although a release date still isn’t confirmed, the game is still expected to hit storefronts this year. Post-launch content such as new maps, specialist/perk archetypes, weapons, and various cosmetics are planned, but all efforts now go to distributing a polished day one experience.
