Nacon reveals slew of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories

Nintendo Switch 2 accessories from Nacon.

Now that Nintendo has finally revealed its hand with the official ‘first look’ at the Switch 2, companies around the industry are showing off their own wares for the upcoming system. One such company is that of accessory-maker Nacon, which has revealed a whole host of different accessories for the Switch 2.

From carrying cases, to plastic wheel grips for the new Joy-Con, Nacon is creating a variety of accessories that are set to be available “at the launch” of the console.

Bits and bobs

Nacon is developing the bulk of what a new console owner would want for a hybrid like the Switch 2. For instance, its selection of carrying cases comes in different colours and has a slot for the console to sit in, as well as smaller slots to carry game cartridges.

For directly protecting the console itself, Nacon has also developed different types of shells/protective cases for the exterior, including a silicone option and a transparent plastic look. Of course, the ever-necessary tempered glass screen protector is yet another accessory the company is making. The product description of this is particularly curious due to it mentioning that the Switch 2 does indeed have a touchscreen. While most have assumed that it would, Nintendo has yet to actually say so or show it being used in this capacity.

A 65-watt USB-C charger is also part of Nacon’s roster; this is a little over double the wattage of the original Nintendo Switch. That said, it confirms that this specific charger can be used across both the Switch and Switch 2. But, original Switch chargers will not be compatible with the Switch 2 itself due to the lesser wattage.

Nacon’s selection of accessories are all reasonably priced. The charger and Folding Steering Wheel accessory to be used with the Joy-Con are the most expensive, coming in at €29.90. With everything else being cheaper than that, it doesn’t look like outfitting your Switch 2 with some needed accessories will break the bank.

Nintendo will reveal more concrete details surrounding the Switch 2 in a special Nintendo Direct that’s premiering on April 2.
