Marvel Snap has secured a new publisher

marvel snap new publisher after shutdown

As a result of the TikTok ban that swept the United States, Marvel Snap was also taken down, resulting in the game being removed from mobile storefronts and becoming inaccessible to players across the US. The app was taken down due to Nuverse being based in Hong Kong, the whole reason why TikTok was taken down in the first place. Marvel Snap has now secured a US publisher as an extra layer of security for its player base.

Skystone Games has been named as the updated publisher. The organisation is known for supporting a range of other titles, including Undying, Tyrant’s Realm, and Maniac, just to name a few.

Back in business

Marvel Snap is now back up and running in the US, including making its return to app stores. Efforts to find a new US based publisher haven’t gone to waste, as Marvel Snap has secured exactly what it was looking for to make sure a shutdown never occurs again.

In a post shared via the official Marvel Snap X account, the news was announced, with the “help of our current publisher Nuverse (Thank you!), we’ve already signed agreements and started the work to bring almost all operational and publishing responsibilities in-house at Second Dinner with support from a new U.S.-based publisher, Skystone Games.”

Whether you were impacted by the shutdown or were just watching from afar, all players can claim compensation rewards. The rewards you’ll receive depend on whether you are based in the US and if your Collection Level is over or under 500.

Although the future of TikTok remains up in the air for US users, Marvel Snap players can be assured that the game is safe in the hands of a new publisher.
