Dubbed the HD Reworked Project Next Gen Edition, modder Halk Hogan PL has been hard at work on The Witcher 3 to completely overhaul its visuals. In fact, all of the game’s aesthetics have been completely revamped, improving textures, models, materials, and more. According to Halk Hogan PL “these changes can be counted in thousands.”
If you’re looking for an excuse to play The Witcher 3 again, this mod aims to make the world look better than ever. Every object in the game looks more realistic than before with customised shaders, relief mapping on surfaces, and 4K visuals.
The Witcher 3 like you’ve never seen it before
The mod is available on Nexus Mods and includes instructions on how to download it to your device. To get the most out of the updated quality that the mod provides, it’s recommended that you set the texture preset to Ultra+.
Considering the fact that the whole game has been revamped, the mod files require a considerable amount of storage space. If you have problems downloading the whole file all at once, it is possible to download the four parts separately.
Upon downloading the mod, it may be difficult to see updates to certain textures from afar. However, Halk Hogan PL has provided images that show a side by side comparison between the standard visuals and the how the game looks with the mod active.
The Witcher 3 isn’t the only game that has received 4K visuals and textures, thanks to a mod. Halk Hogan PL has also released similar mods for Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield. Considering how picturesque these three games already are, a mod just like this can truly take your breath away.
