Disney Dreamlight Valley has revealed that its upcoming Sew Delightful update will open up the Floating Islands to all residents.
The Floating Islands featured in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2024 Showcase stream, but were nothing more than a mere spectacle. That is about to change, as the next update will let you travel to and customise the floating land masses.
Up, up, and away!
Once you’ve completed the main story quest “What’s Left Behind,” make sure to speak with Merlin, who has been researching the magical calculations required to connect the Wishing Wells found in each biome to the the Floating Islands. This will kick off the quest known as “Islands in the Sky.”
From this point onwards, you can use a Wishing Well or the Map Fast Travel Menu, to access the first of these islands that is in the theme of the Plaza. Helping Merlin with his endeavours will allow you to make the Plaza Floating Island your own, along with three other islands, based off of some of the Valley’s other Biomes.
Using the Map Fast Travel Menu will see you unlock these additional islands, each costing 15,000 Dreamlight. With the exception of a Wishing Well, each island is made up of approximately 65×65 squares of decorating space, perfect for letting your imagination run wild.
However, you’ll be far from alone on your Floating Islands as Villagers will stop by and so will players on Valley Visits.
Floating Islands will arrive for all players on December 4. More Floating Islands are expecting to be added to Disney Dreamlight Valley in the future.
