Fortnite consistently keeps its experiences fresh by deploying new content through patches and hotfixes. But, some content does return on a yearly basis to mark real life events. Fortnitemares is back for 2024 to celebrate Halloween and a recent leak has pointed towards a release date.
The Fortnitemares event will bring a spooky twist to Chapter 5 Season 4. There will be a special questline, themed weapons, and Halloween skins added to the store.
Already, other titles from various genres have started their Halloween festivities, while others will arrive throughout the course of October. MW3 and Warzone Season 6, for example, is focused on The Haunting event.
Fortnitemares 2024 is just around the corner
Reputable Fortnite leaker, HYPEX has shared a potential schedule for what’s to come in the battle royale in the near future. If the details are correct, the annual Fortnitemares event will kick off on October 15, 2024. Fortnitemares 2023 rolled out on October 10, so not too dissimilar from this year’s alleged date.
Shortly after the rumoured Fortnitemares debut is a possible mini event, indicated by event files being present in the upcoming update. Then, Fortnite OG Chapter 2 could arrive at the beginning of November, taking players back to the early days of the game.
Of course, what Epic Games has planned isn’t certain until an official announcement comes from their mouths. However, this leak can give players something to look forward to while we wait for more information. It’s expected that Fortnitemares teasers will pop up first, potentially commencing on October 1.
