Two titans of the roguelite genre are about to collide, as Roboquest has announced a crossover with Dead Cells. This will bring a new mission, weapon, and more to the world of Roboquest which will be familiar to Dead Cells fans.
For those who haven’t entered the realm of Dead Cells, it’s a roguelite, metroidvania inspired, action-platformer. You’re in control of a failed alchemic experiment on a cursed island, where combat is plentiful and punishing.
Ramping up the action
A new quest focused around The Collector from Dead Cells will be available in Roboquest, all you have to do is find the new NPC hidden in one of the levels. To get The Collector on your side, you’ll have to hand him some sort of offering. Once you have satisfied his request, he will wait for you back at Basecamp.
Interacting with The Collector at Basecamp will display a Weapon Filter interface. From here, you’ll be able to either double the chance of looting a particular weapon, or deactivate it completely from the pool, meaning it will no longer drop from any source. It will cost 1 Weapon Filter to perform this action.
That’s not all when it comes to weapons as the Panchaku from Dead Cells will be added to the Roboquest arsenal. Essentially, Panchakus are dual wield frying pans which are capable of dealing more damage than you may expect.
Roboquest will team up with Dead Cells via a free update rolling out on August 14, 2024.
