First launching in the summer of 2022, The Mortuary Assistant quickly became a hit due to its genuine scares and stressful nature. Now, more players than ever will be able to take on the role of the main character, Rebecca Owens, as The Mortuary Assistant is preparing to roll out on console.
In The Mortuary Assistant, you’re working the night shift, preparing bodies in the morgue and fighting off demonic entities. Each evil spirit you banish ultimately saves your soul, so make sure to work fast and with minimal mistakes.
Endless embalming
The Mortuary Assistant’s two year anniversary since the original PC release is upon us and to celebrate, DarkStone Digital and DreadXP has revealed that the demons residing in this world will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on August 2, 2024.
As well as hitting new platforms, a Definitive Edition will introduce various updates to the PC and Nintendo Switch versions and it will be free for those who already own the game. This version of the game will also be available on console when the horrors reach Xbox and PlayStation storefronts.
The Definitive Edition will include the following content:
- Embalming only mode – embalm unlimited bodies
- New Haunt Events
- Additional Lore
- New bodies to embalm
- New Valentine’s Day seasonal event (Stop by the mortuary in February)
- New achievements
- Multiple Bug and Stability Fixes
- Performance Improvements
Players both old and new will get to embark on a fresh experience and of course, even more frights.
