Open-world survival game Once Human has hit PC and it invites you to a post-apocalyptic world where aliens are taking over. Survival is key for you be able to battle various enemies and take on bosses from an other-worldly dimension to gain powerful items and dilute the Stardust pollution. So far, the battle can only be fought on keyboard and mouse, but will Once Human get controller support?
Keyboard and mouse isn’t for everyone. Not all titles feature controller support on day one, especially when it comes to indie games. One of the biggest community questions is whether or not controllers will be useable in Once Human later down the line.
Once Human controller support is on the way
At the time of writing, Once Human doesn’t have controller support. However, the developers have confirmed that it is on the horizon. In a recent FAQ, Starry Studio addressed the question of controller support.
“Once Human is scheduled to provide support for controllers in early August,” says the team. “Efforts are underway to ensure a seamless controller compatibility, with a focus on delivering a high-quality experience to players.”
For now, you must stick to keyboard and mouse until controller support rolls out. With that being said, key-bindings are expected to arrive after controller compatibility. In the FAQ, it’s revealed that “the implementation of key rebindings is currently in progress for the game, and it is anticipated to be available in mid-August.”
Once Human is still in its infancy, so more updates will arrive in the near future. While we wait for a specific date for when controller support will go live, consider checking out more of the latest news:
