The Delta Force franchise is making a comeback with Delta Force: Hawk Ops, an upcoming free-to-play tactical shooter. A Delta Force: Hawk Ops Alpha Test was scheduled to take place on PC on July 18, but that has now been delayed.
The action has been halted due to issues that have cropped up in preparation for the Alpha Test which Team Jade has highlighted in their announcement.
Standby for deployment
“In the spirit of transparent communication, we want to share more details with you,” says the studio. “On July 11, we conducted a pre-alpha technical test, inviting a small group of players to rigorously evaluate the game and our release pipeline.”
“During this test, we encountered several issues that need to be addressed to ensure you have the best experience possible. These issues include long queuing times for multiplayer modes and localization issues. Our commitment to quality means we need more time to polish the game thoroughly before presenting it to tens of thousands of you in the PC Alpha Test.”
The team behind the upcoming shooter express their excitement (and nervousness) at sharing the world they’ve created over the last four years. Even though there has been a bump in the road, a Delta Force: Hawk Ops PC Alpha is still on the cards.
A date for when the Alpha Test will now take place hasn’t been shared, but the developers “will be back with the new date for our PC Alpha Test very soon, and we promise you won’t wait for long.”
While we wait for a new Alpha Test date to be announced, check out more of the latest news:
