Insider details about Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 have reportedly surfaced on social media and the leak brings up interesting details. Codename “Project Macondo’s” story has thought to have been released, along with other intriguing revelations.
The leak emerged on the AliensFireteamElite Reddit, posted by user r/firemonkey11, but its legitimacy is being doubted.
Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 leak takes the franchise in the wrong direction
According to the document, the game is scheduled to release in Q3 FY2025, that’s if there are no delays. Players are expected to take on the role of a special forces operator, working for the Dagger Company in the Aliens universe. Members of the Dagger Company “have a singular goal; extermination of the Xenomorph lifeform and rescue uninfected humans.”
The overall vision for the game is for the “story to contribute to the Aliens cannon in the same way that the best films in the franchise have.” Post launch content is still to be confirmed, but could include “additional Annihilation maps, or story mission DLC.”
Supposedly, the title will have 13 missions with 12 hours of gameplay for its “ideal scope.” If the leak rings true, there will be five playable characters, each with their own set of abilities and exclusive weapons.
Overall, fans have been disappointed by the leak, leading to some questioning its credibility. The information allegedly came from the Disney hack which saw 1.1TB of data compromised. As always, leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt until official information has been released.
If the timeframe is accurate, an announcement regarding Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 shouldn’t be too far away. While we wait, consider checking out more of the latest news:
