After setting the clock back a few decades with the Retrowave update a few weeks ago, now Forza Horizon 5 hits the streets of today with the new Modern Horizons update.
This new update brings with it five new unlockable cars as Festival Playlist rewards, new EventLab props, and more.
Back to the present
The five new cars that are a part of the new Modern Horizons update are “some of the best of this decade,” each having released within just the last few years.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, 2023 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S, 2023 KIA EV6 GT and 2021 Toyota GR Yaris makeup the new collection, and will be gradually available for grabs throughout the series which starts on June 20 and runs until July 11.
With such a varied selection, there’s basically something from everyone: some crazy-fast SUVs, new-gen muscle, and posh compact to add to the garage.
For the creatives out there, the EventLab has received yet another injection of new props in the form of road pieces. These specific new building blocks will allow EventLab creators to snap together new highway networks, including on-and-off ramps to transition to and from a stretch of highway to a regular road or track piece.
While the Modern Horizons update for Forza Horizon 5 does not have much in the way of a big aesthetic change like the Retrowave patch, it’s great to see even more cars join the game’s already massive roster.
Of course, with the EventLab getting even more pieces, creators will continue to outfit the game with even more user-generated courses which have done a solid job at keeping the community happy thus far.
For the full patch notes behind the Modern Horizons update, it’s over on the Forza Support site.
