Lovingly dubbed Pokemon with guns, Palworld began breaking records as soon as it hit digital storefronts. The game exceeded 1.85 million players which is the second highest all-time peak in Steam history. In addition, Palworld sold 7 million copies in in just 5 days, an extremely impressive number, especially for an indie studio. However, the hard work doesn’t stop there and Pocketpair has already shared their early access roadmap for Palworld.
Judging from the roadmap, there’s a lot for Palworld fans to look forward to. Raid bosses are on the way, as well as crossplay, and even PvP for both players and Pals.
Palworld roadmap includes fixes and fresh content
Since the team behind the hit game didn’t expect such a huge amount of success, server congestion and other issues have been identified. The roadmap shows the intention to prioritise critical issues and deploy further improvements. Examples of what Pocketpair are working on include the world date sometimes experiencing rollbacks, loading screen glitches, improvements to base Pal AI and pathing, and so much more to come
As for planned future content, here’s what players can expect to see during early access:
- PvP
- Raid Bosses (End-Game Content)
- Pal Arena (PvP for Pals)
- Steam-Xbox Crossplay
- Various Xbox Feature Improvements
- Server Transfers and Migrations
- Improvements to the Building System
- New islands, Pals, Bosses, and Technologies
Although there isn’t a specific date for when the updates and new content will arrive, we are excited to see the game flourish even further. If you’re yet to see what all the hype is about, Palworld is playable on PC via Steam and on Xbox, including Game Pass.
