EA CEO, Andrew Wilson revealed in a company earnings call on August 1 that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release on Xbox One and PS4. If you are yet to upgrade to a current-gen console, you won’t miss out on the latest entry to the Star Wars video game franchise after all.
Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which released back in 2019. The game has sold approximately 30% more than its predecessor. It appears that EA believe they can squeeze out more sales by bringing the game to old-generation players.
May the force be with you, PS4 and Xbox One players!
Andrew Wilson revealed: “Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched on April 28, 2023. The game was delayed for 6 weeks as the team wanted to “hit the Respawn quality bar,” before allowing fans to get their hands on the game. Despite the delay, many players still encountered performance issues across all platforms.
It’s unknown how much time EA will need to bring Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to PS4 and Xbox One consoles, so we’ll have to keep an eye out for any further updates from EA in the coming months.
