Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition launches on PC, but gets delayed on console

Rise of the Triad Ludicrous Edition combat delayed on console playstation xbox and nintendo switch

Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition has finally arrived, but if you were hoping to jump into the action on console, you may be wondering where the game actually is. The title was supposed to launch on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, alongside PC, but the console version has been delayed.

The classic 90’s first-person shooter has received a remastered with 4K and Ultrawide Resolution support, as well as unlimited frame rates. Also, you’ll get to experience content from “lost” betas, new episodes, online multiplayer and so much more.

Console owners will have to wait a little longer to play the Ludicrous Edition

CEO of New Blood Interactive, Dave Oshry explained the console delay in a series of tweets. According to Oshry, the team are “running into some cert issues (silly stuff) on consoles for the ROTT remaster – so we’re going to have to delay the console versions a bit.”

He continues to explain that it: “*Shouldn’t* be more than a few weeks BUT can’t commit to a hard date ’til it passes on all 3 consoles.”

At the time of writing, a new console launch date hasn’t been announced, but we’ll update this article when those details are released.

Rise of the Triad Ludicrous Edition mushrooms

If you are on PC, Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition has launched with a 20% discount on Steam, taking the price tag down from £16.75 to £13.40. This offer will last until August 7.
