Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature 16 maps at launch and we have all the details about what you can expect the map pool to look like, below.
The quality of maps is one of the defining factors of the multiplayer experience, so it’s no wonder that fans want to learn about them ahead of time.
Here are all the maps that will feature in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer
There are 16 confirmed maps so far for Modern Warfare 3. If you’re a Call of Duty veteran, you may recognise these maps as they made up the map pool of the original Modern Warfare 2 that released back in 2009.
So, here are all the maps we can expect to jump into in Modern Warfare 3:
- Highrise
- Sub Base
- Estate
- Terminal
- Wasteland
- Afghan
- Rust
- Underpass
- Invasion
- Karachi
- Quarry
- Skidrow
- Scrapyard
- Rundown
- Favela
- Derail
Bringing back old maps is all well and good if you enjoyed the original Modern Warfare 2, or if you’re a player that didn’t get to experience this Call of Duty classic. However, if you’re hoping to try out some brand new maps, you may have to wait a while longer.
According to industry insider, Tom Henderson, there will be no new maps at launch, just the 16 remastered maps listed above. He expects that there will be at least 12 more 6v6 maps post launch. Also, War mode from Call of Duty: WWII will allegedly return with 1 map at launch, says Henderson.
As we edge closer to the November 10 release date, we can expect to hear more details about what Sledgehammer Games has in store for their next entry in the Call of Duty franchise.
