If you want a chance to play The Crew Motorfest early, then you can do so by signing-up for the upcoming Closed Beta test.
This test will be launching “in a few days,” according to Ubisoft and those who own a PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X (not the S) are eligible to sign up for a chance to be let into the testing pool ahead of the game’s full release in September.
Early bird benefits
This closed beta test marks the first time that the game will be available to a wider range of early players, as it had multiple rounds of smaller closed alpha tests a few months ago. If you signed up to be a part of that Insider Program, then you’re still automatically enrolled for a chance to play in this test, too.
What’s especially neat about this test, however, is that players will be able to share footage and screenshots of their gameplay.
Those who’ve been selected to participate will have an email delivered to their inbox containing confirmation and instructions. Ubisoft has not yet specified exactly when this test will go live, but expect more details soon.
With this new closed beta test, players will be able to experience all that the game’s virtual rendition of Honolulu has to offer. You’ll be able to make your way through various different Playlists (the curated events of the Career mode.)
The one bummer about this test version is that progress will not be saved and therefore won’t be transferable to the full release. Nevertheless, if you do get in, at least you’ll be familiar with the game to jump in head first at launch.
The Crew Motorfest hits the streets on September 14 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. In the meantime, you can still enjoy The Crew 2, which just started its Season 9 list of events, culminating right before the launch of Motorfest.
