Call of Duty League analyst Alyssa ‘Allycxt’ Parker founded the WxC, a women’s only Call of Duty tournament. It began with open qualifiers, with only the top eight teams progressing to the next stage. Qualifying squads then battle it out for a share of a $10,000 prize pool in three weeks of seeding matches. Now, the Toronto Tsunami has become the first all-women’s team to be approved by Activision to play in the WxC.
Toronto Ultra content creator, Overgirl, recently made an announcement, revealing that she has founded the team. Overgirl became a content creator for the Ultra organisation back in 2021.

Viiox has found success as a coach and analyst in Call of Duty Challengers, where he has worked with some of the top teams in the amateur league.
The Toronto Tsunami have been making waves in the WxC, as they currently hold an impressive 7-0 record. You can watch the team in action live on Allycxt’s Twitch.
This is a significant step forward for the Call of Duty scene and women’s esports as a whole. Hopefully, we see more female squads form and get the recognition they deserve in the not so distant future.
